These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the High Tide Puzzles website (the "Site"). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms.
1) Who We Are
High Tide Puzzles ("we," "us," or "our") offers free daily puzzles that anyone can play in a web browser, with no account required.
2) Eligibility
The Site is intended for users age 13 and older. By using the Site, you represent that you are at least 13 years old.
3) Permitted Use
You may use the Site for your own personal, non-commercial enjoyment, for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to misuse the Site, interfere with its operation, probe or scan for vulnerabilities, attempt to access non-public areas or systems, or use automated means to access the Site, copy its puzzles, or degrade its performance.
4) Contacting Us
If you contact us, you agree that the information you provide is accurate and that you have the right to provide it. You also agree not to send unlawful, infringing, or harmful content.
5) No User-Generated Content
The Site does not allow public posting or user-generated content (such as comments, reviews, or uploads). Content on the Site is provided and maintained by High Tide Puzzles.
6) Free Service and Optional Support
The puzzles are free to play. Support through external services such as Buy Me a Coffee is entirely optional, is a voluntary contribution rather than a purchase, and does not unlock any features or create any obligation for us to provide a service. Contributions are handled by that service under its own terms.
7) Intellectual Property (Site Content)
The Site and its content (including the puzzles, text, graphics, icons, logos, and design) are owned by High Tide Puzzles or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the Site or its puzzles without our prior written permission, except as permitted by law. Sharing your own results or a link to the Site is always welcome.
8) Third-Party Services and Links
The Site uses or links to third-party services (for example, Cloudflare for hosting, Google Fonts for fonts, and Buy Me a Coffee for optional support). Third-party services are governed by their own terms and policies, and we are not responsible for third-party content, practices, or availability.

9) Disclaimers
The Site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any puzzle or content is accurate or complete. Your use of the Site is at your own risk.
10) Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, High Tide Puzzles will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data (including puzzle progress), arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Site.
11) Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless High Tide Puzzles from and against claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your misuse of the Site or violation of these Terms.
12) Termination / Restriction of Access
We may suspend or restrict your access to the Site (including blocking access from certain IP addresses) if we reasonably believe you are violating these Terms, attempting to harm the Site or other users, or using the Site in an unlawful manner. This section does not limit any other rights or remedies we may have.
13) Availability and Saved Progress
We aim to keep the Site available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Site may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, hosting outages, or circumstances outside our control. Puzzles may change or be removed at any time. Your progress is saved only in your browser, so it can be lost if you clear your browser data or switch devices.
14) Changes to the Site or Terms
We may modify the Site or these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a new "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the Site after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
15) Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
